<note>Security currently becomes a very important issue in public or private institutions in which various security system have been proposed and developed for some crucial processes such as person identifications, verification or recognition especially for building access control, suspect identifications by the police, driver licenses and many others. There are various security methods like Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), biometric (fingerprints, face recognition, iris recognition) and behavioural (speech recognition, handwriting). In this final project, the design and development of a home security system has been detailed which uses face recognition to confirm the identity of the users, and door access in this final project can also use NFC (Near Field Communications). Users can choose access to be used in the menu. If the user chooses to use NFC, the user needed attach the NFC keychain to the NFC reader PN532. If NFC ID matches in the database, the solenoid is active and the door is open. Meanwhile, if the user selects face recognition, the user have to take a picture on the camera that has been provided. Later, the recognition system process the face detection based on the database that has been created. As a conclusion, all the stated objective have been achieved successfully. The software and hardware of door accessing system is successfully developed. The system displays the output result of recognition of human face identity. It is based on the database of the proposed system.</note>
